University of Minnesota, College of Design Bachelor of Arts in Architecture Minor in French

Jan decided she wanted to go into Architecture at the age of ten, when assigned to draw a floor plan as part of a school math project. Jan has an extensive background in retail design, and prior to joining Wilkus Architects in April 2015, worked at both Best Buy and Advance Auto Parts’ corporate offices. She loves the collaborative nature of designing a space, as well as understanding the impact that architecture can have on the surrounding community.

Jan loves being outside whenever possible, even in the Minnesota winters. She’s a dedicated trail and ultra-runner, and her dog is her favorite running buddy. Jan enjoys camping, hiking, sci-fi conventions, and traveling with her husband and their twin boys. She is a bookworm, and, when inside, can usually be found reading, knitting, or reading while knitting.
