Throughout my life, I have always done very well at math and science, while loving the arts. I never saw a career that combined these two, until Architecture. The moment I learned about the career field, in a high school visit, I instantly thought it was for me. I switched my plans from an engineering degree, and applied to Architecture schools. I have loved it more, and more, since I started. I have become extremely motivated and passionate about sustainability, and the integration of sustainable practices in architectural design. I also thoroughly enjoy the collaborative nature of Architecture, as it is always driving us forward. My current role at Wilkus is as an Architectural Designer.

I enjoy really anything "artsy", so far I have created stained glass, blown glass, ceramics, metal sculpture, polymer clay earrings, bead-work, sewing, 3-d printing, up cycled furniture, model planes, acrylic and watercolor paintings, pastel, charcoal, colored pencil, and of course pencil drawings. I also love being outdoors, especially looking for agates on the shores of Lake Superior.

I see many similarities to Architecture, my love for doing all of these artistic things, is what led me too Architecture. I also believe that inspiration can come from anything thereby heavily influencing and relating to Architecture.
