Blake’s interest in the industry began with on the job experience in both residential and commercial construction and has since transformed over time into a passion to learn as much about the architecture world as possible. What intrigues me about the architectural career path is that it includes and blends several aspects including creative design, technology, and problem solving all of which contribute to a challenging yet rewarding day-to-day job and the Designer role at Wilkus Architects will further expand work experience in commercial architecture.

Between work and class, various seasonal interests include tennis, golf, hiking, and spending time up north at the cabin to sauna. I also enjoy sketching various architectural designs and woodworking projects which I then attempt to create for use in my home. I attribute a lot of my personal architectural preferences on both mid-century modern and contemporary modern designs and have started collecting furniture, watches, and household items that reflect these styles.
