THE WELCOME CENTER
The main focus of the Bluewater Covenant Bible Camp project was designing and constructing the new, 750-square-foot Welcome Center. Wilkus Architects provided site drawings and plans, and participated in the Blitz Build. Through the collaboration of Architects, Builders, Owners, Camp Staff and Neighbors, friendships were formed and a usable building was constructed in just three and a half days.
THE BLITZ BUILD
The Blitz Build was essentially like modern-day barn raising, where many cabin owners along the lake and members of the community joined in to help out a neighbor. This concept was possible because the General Contractor had previously been on the show Extreme Home Makeover™, so they understood the critical timing and sequencing needed.
